McDonald’s has been an outstanding community partner and friend of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation over the last decade, continuously showing their dedication and commitment to supporting health care in Cape Breton.
With their support, and all of those who participated in our community, over $368,000 has been raised through McHappy Day events on the island. Thank you!
This year, a portion of proceeds will support the purchase of Pediatrics Equipment for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Each year, more than 200 children and their families rely on the services of the Pediatric Unit.
See you on Wednesday, May 10, for McHappy Day Cape Breton!
Participating locations: Sydney, Glace Bay, Walmart Spar Road, Sydney River and North Sydney.
VITALS MONITOR: When evaluating overall patient health, vital signs monitors are an efficient method for collecting accurate reading for children admitted into the pediatric unit.
PEDIATRIC WHEELCHAIRS: Pediatric wheelchairs are mobility devices for children. These chairs come in many different designs and can be customized to fit a child’s specific needs. While these wheelchairs are smaller versions of standard adult models, there are a few highly significant differences.
PEDIATRIC SUPPLIES: Day-to-day necessities for the Pediatrics Unit will be purchased, such as johnny shirts, sleepers, bottle warmers, temporal thermometers, a measuring board and more.
By supporting McHappy Day Cape Breton, you’ll also be supporting the renovation of the Pediatrics Toy Room at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, the purchase of pediatric beds, and providing TV and entertainment to patients who have long term stays in the Unit.
