Registration for Move Because You Care now OPEN!

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation is proud to present Move Because You Care – a virtual run, walk or “move” in support of Cape Breton’s new Cancer Centre.

Taking place on June 18-20, we have a goal of raising $10,000 to update and enhance the programming, research and innovation, and vital equipment needed in our Island’s new, state-of-the-art Cancer Centre.

Each day, 150-200 Cape Bretoners visit our Cancer Centre for care. Since the current Centre opened in 1998, diagnoses have increased significantly, and patient-visits have almost tripled. Our current Centre is no longer large enough to accommodate our needs.

All proceeds from this event will help to ensure that Cape Bretoners receive the cancer care they need, when they need it, and where they need it – here at home.

Participate in Move Because You Care as a competitive runner, a non-competitive runner, or sign up for any activity you desire! Or, you can make a general donation to this vital cause. Prizes will be awarded to the event’s top fundraisers!
