Irish Jersey Night

Join us on Friday, March 14, as we celebrate the Cape Breton Eagles Irish Jersey Night in support of the Tom McNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund. The Eagles will take on the Mooseheads, and raffle tickets will be sold for the chance to WIN one of the special game-worn “Irish” jerseys!

Irish Jersey Night originated in 2007, to honour the life and legacy of Greg Lynch. Since then, it has raised over $187,000! Greg was president of Cape Breton Beverages Ltd. and one of the original founders of the Cape Breton Eagles, responsible for introducing the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League to Cape Breton.

In 2004, Greg was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away a short while after. He is remembered as a generous and community-minded man, with the belief that it was his responsibility to reach beyond his own door to assist those in need whenever possible.

We can’t wait to see you on Friday, March 14, to celebrate Greg’s life and legacy and the Cape Breton Eagles, all while supporting the Tom McNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund and 75-100 patients who rely on it monthly.
