Northside Steps of Hope

Northside Steps of Hope is taking place on October 4, 2026, at Serenity Park, in support of the Tom McNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund.

This walk has a goal of raising funds, awareness, and rekindling hope. Whether you are walking for yourself, a cherished friend, a family member, or a loved one, we move together as a community. Every step we take is a powerful reminder that no one faces this journey alone.

The Tom McNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation relives financial stress for Cape Bretoners (including Northsiders) battling cancer. The fund supports more than 100 Cape Breton Cancer Centre patients each month by helping to cover costs of travel to-and-from medical appointments, counselling services, prescriptions not covered by insurance, and other patient needs.

Your steps today will help fuel this fund and make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer in our very own community. Let’s give where we live!
