Splash like a Superhero! Port Morien Polar Dip

The Port Morien Polar Dip is set to hit the beach for the 13th time, and this year, proceeds will be shared between the Donkin Morien Community Association’s accessible playground project and Caleb’s Courage, which supports critically ill children and their families in Cape Breton.

People can enter a team (up to 10 people) or enter as an individual. The event will issue pledge sheets and the team that raises the most money earns bragging rights and their name on a trophy.

In person registration and/or submission of pledge money takes place from 11:00am – 12:30pm on New Year’s Day. The dip happens at 1:00pm sharp on the Port Morien Sand Shore, immediately followed by a gathering at the Port Morien Legion. Stephen’s Hot Sausages and Hotdogs food truck will be on site.

Swimmers and attendees are encouraged to embrace the superhero theme in their Polar Dip attire.
