EverWind raises over $160K for Caleb’s Courage and critically ill children in Cape Breton
EverWind, North America’s leading independent green hydrogen developer, presented a cheque to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and Caleb’s Courage for $164,581.05. The fundraising total is a result of the 11th annual auction and golf tournament, held at Bell Bay Golf Club in August 2024.
The tournament saw teams from all over North America. For the fifth year in a row, proceeds from the EverWind fundraiser were directed to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, specifically earmarked for Caleb’s Courage and critically ill children in Cape Breton.
The cheque was presented during a staff lunch, where EverWind asked Nicole and Mike MacArthur (Caleb’s Courage), to speak with their employees to educate on the impact they are making with such a contribution.
With community in mind, EverWind also their launched annual employee giving program that day, where employees donate to a registered charity of their choice throughout the year by payroll deduction and EverWind matches employee donations by 50 per cent.
“We are incredibly grateful for EverWind’s continued commitment to Caleb’s Courage, and proud of our valued partnership,” says Nicole Forgeron-MacArthur, Caleb’s mom. “EverWind is by far the largest contributor to Caleb’s Courage endowment, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our fund and enabling us to fulfill even the biggest needs for our little superheroes for many years to come. Their outstanding contributions are quite literally life-changing for critically ill children and their families in Cape Breton.”
“Everwind truly stands up to their name — a mighty force that has fueled its community with positive energy and powerful impact,” Forgeron-MacArthur continues.
“This year’s total of over $164,000 to Caleb’s Courage is a proud accomplishment for the EverWind team, bringing our 5-year total to $593,081.05,” says EverWind CEO and founder Trent Vichie. “Caleb’s Courage is an incredible initiative that helps little heroes and their families during challenging times, and we are honoured to support all that they do.”
