2021-2022 Because You Care Catalogue Launched with $100,000 Commitment from Colbourne Auto, Making Gift-Giving to CBRH Patients Possible Year-Round.
The Because You Care Catalogue, presented by Colbourne Auto, was launched at Colbourne Ford today. In attendance were HGTV’s Colin and Justin, Foundation CEO Paula MacNeil, Colbourne Auto GM Brad Jacobs, Nicole and Mike MacArthur of Caleb’s Courage, and Tim and Haley Toomey of the (late) Cayla Toomey. The 2021-2021 Because You Care catalogue is published in memory of Cayla Gouthro Toomey, who lost her battle with cancer of March this year.
The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation is proud to launch the fourth annual Because You Care Catalogue in partnership with Colbourne Auto.
The Catalogue, which has traditionally focused on holiday gift-giving, now allows donors and community members to give gifts to patients and support healthcare needs within the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) all year round. Making this possible is a five-year $100,000 commitment from Catalogue partner, Colbourne Auto.
“We are humbled to give back to our community and healthcare in Cape Breton by partnering with the Foundation, once again, to launch the Because You Care Catalogue,” says Brad Jacobs, General Manager of Colbourne Auto. “Healthcare needs exist 365-days-a-year, so we are excited to now have the Catalogue available year-round to meet those needs.”
Since the initial launch in 2017, the Because You Care Catalogue has helped to raise more than $150,000 for more than 14 areas of care within the CBRH.
This year’s catalogue will focus on gifts for patients and healthcare needs within the areas of cancer care, cardiac care, emergency care services, Caleb’s Courage, and renal dialysis. More than 30 unique gift-giving opportunities are available, including items like Handi-Trans bus passes for those having to travel daily for dialysis appointments; clothing and toiletries for those needing emergency care; alternative therapy programs for those facing cancer, and more.
In addition to the five-year, $100,000 commitment, Colbourne Auto will also be donating $250 from every full-size truck sold (new or pre-owned) to Caleb’s Courage, from now until the end of the year.
