Radio Day

October 7

THANK YOU CAPE BRETON! Because of your generosity, $678,959 was raised for healthcare in Cape Breton, and, a new echocardiogram machine has been fully funded for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital!

Learn more here.

In partnership with Hot 101.9 and New Country 103.5, Radio Day 2021 will take place on October 7, in support of cancer care here in Cape Breton

With the support of our community, last year’s event raised more than $753,700, funding CellaVision for Cape Breton for the first time!

This year, we’re asking for your support once again, to raise funds to purchase a new Echocardiogram Machine for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. An echocardiogram, or echo, is an ultrasound that checks the structure and function of the heart and its valves. Because cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy can cause heart complications, echocardiograms are needed to help doctors determine what treatment plans a patient’s heart can handle.

By helping to purchase a new Echocardiogram Machine for the CBRH, you’ll be supporting more than 5,000 cardiovascular patients and more than 600 cancer patients annually. That’s more than 465 patients per month.

Power Hour Schedule

Jim Sampson Motors and Meco Construction DKI are graciously back again to offer POWER HOURS, matching all donations up to $10,000 during each of their hours. And, NEW this year is a third POWER HOUR presented by Schwartz Furniture!

  • Meco Construction DKI Power Hour – 8-9am
  • Schwartz Furniture Power Hour – 12-1pm
  • Jim Sampson Motors Power Hour – 4-5pm

Let’s rally together, once again, for cancer care here in Cape Breton.

On Radio Day, October 7, tune in and give back, because you care.
